My name is Matt Barker. I currently serve as an Assistant Professor of Communication at Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee.
I have been working at Freed-Hardeman since 2013 and have been a Professor of Communication since 2018. I am a 2006 graduate of Freed-Hardeman University with a degree in Broadcast Communication. I obtained my Master's Degree in Corporate Communication from Austin Peay State University in 2009 and a Ph.D. in Leadership from Johnson University in 2023.
I have been married to my wife Lauren for nearly 20 years. We have two children, Riley (16) and Holland (13). We are members at the Henderson Church of Christ, where I serve as Deacon.
